Exams

Exam schedule

Exam schedule can be found in Syllabus and Notes.

Exams will take place in the classroom unless otherwise announced.

All grades will be posted on Illinois Compass.

Preparation for exams

The lecture exams will emphasize material covered in lectures.  Focus on the topics that are covered in lectures, and spend less time on topics that are mentioned briefly or not at all.

It is very important that you attend lectures and take good notes.  A summary of each lecture will be available in Syllabus and Notes.  However, this is not a substitute for your personal notes.  Taking good notes and studying them on a regular basis is the best way to absorb the material presented in lecture.

The lab exams will be similar to your lab exercises.  For your lab exercises, you are allowed to work together with your classmate(s).  During the lab exams, you must work independently.  To prepare for the lab exams, make sure that you can work out the exercises on your own.
